Maintenance Activity. Coast Banksia Woodland Project : Stage 2
At Sandy Point we had 10 WiSP Habitat Participants working mid-week in our project area around the 2024 plantings.
The Poa poiformis (Coast Tussock grass) has grown particularly well and some of the guards were removed. On last inspection they had not been eaten or dug out by wombats or rabbits.
The Coast Banksias that were planted at the same time also got some attention and most are showing strong spring growth.
A trial removal of one Kangaroo Grass guard provided a meal for an unknown grazer.
Students from Melbourne volunteered to help with our Coast Banksia Woodland Project.
