Every year the Sandy Point Community Group (SPCG) organises the famous Sandy Point Sandcastle Competition.

The end of year community gathering was held on 13 December. Locals and members of SP community groups gathered to enjoy catching up, having a drink, nibbles, sausages.

The owner of the Caravan Park had now made a Planning Application to Council for subdivision of the land into 11 lots. In response, the SPCG is preparing another submission to Council.
